Weekly Announcements for Week of 11/13-11/19

Practice Schedule
RHS Practice Groups
Group 1: Monday and Wednesday 6:00-7:30
G1 Elite: Friday 5:00-6:30
Group 2: Monday, Wednesday, 5:15-7:30, and Friday 5:00-6:30
Group 3: Next scheduled practice in February

NPHS Practice Groups
Group 1 Tuesday and Wednesday 6:00-7:30 CDT
Group 2 Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 5:15-7:30 CDT

Practice notes: NO practice on Tuesday or Thursday at RHS due to a high school meets.  NO practice at NPHS on Thursday due to a high school meet.  ALL NP swimmers are welcome to attend any practice at Riley that works into their schedule including Friday for Group 2 swimmers.  All swimmers attending Group 2's Friday practice are reminded to bring appropriate dry-land clothes including running shoes.

Communication
If you are ever in need to speak to a coach please let the coach know in advance and please plan to meet after practice.  Time before and during practice needs to be devoted to our swimmers.  They deserve our full attention and anything outside of an emergency should wait until the swimmers are off the pool deck. 

If you need to contact me there are several ways to do so.  If you need to let me know your swimmer is ill or anything else that does not require more then a few word response a text message works well.  Any other type of communication should be done through email.  I am in front of a computer multiple times a day and it is the easiest way for me to respond quickly to your concerns.  Voicemail and Facebook (or other social media) messages are the least effective way to get in touch with me.  My time is limited during the day when I can return calls.  All social media sites are blocked on the school computers and I would not be able to respond in a timely manner.

SWAC Fall Invite
Our entry report for this meet is attached. Here are the pertinent times for this weekend's meet:
Friday (events #1-#6)
Warm-ups 4:00-4:50 (our swimmers should be on deck by 3:45)
Meet starts 8:30

Saturday and Sunday Prelims for 11 and over swimmers
Warm-ups 7:30-8:15 (our swimmers need to be on deck by 7:15)
Meet starts 8:30

Saturday and Sunday afternoon session for 10 and under swimmers
Warm-ups 12:00-12:45 (our swimmers need to be on deck by 11:45)
Meet starts at 1:00

Saturday and Sunday Finals for 11 and over swimmers
Warm-ups 3:00-3:45 (our swimmers should be on deck by 3:15)
Meet starts at 4:00

NASA Sprint Meet Plus
Congratulations to our entire team for such outstanding performances last weekend.  We had an amazing 162 new best times including several that have moved up or into our all time top 10.  You can click here to see the results and here to see the Top 10.  Here is our updated qualifiers page. A huge congratulations to Sammy Sierra who obliterated the team record book.  He set new records in the following 11-12 boys events: 25 free (13.20), 200 free (2:09.35), 25 fly (13.30), 100 fly (1:02.27), 25 back (14.83), 50 back (29.95), 100 back (1:05.66), and the 100 breast (1:13.15)

Selling a one year ad on our website could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information.

Another easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club. For every poster after the 5th one you will have your name entered in a drawing for a Visa gift card to be held on December 1st .

Upcoming Meet & Dates/location/deadline to opt out
As a reminder all swimmers are considered swimming in a meet unless the parent declines attending. I'm also asking if you know your swimmer will be attending please commit them to the meet. If the option to choose days is not yet available please leave a note as to which days you would like to attend.
