Each athlete will need to fill out the attached form and hand deliver to the coach when entering the high school. All swimmers should come dressed ready to practice. If they were already entered in Divisionals and made state cuts in entered events, or earned any new cuts please email me as well. By you emailing me it serves as a safety net for any possible mistakes. The last thing any of us want is to miss the chance to race at a championship meet. Divisonals Crown Point High School March 5th-7th All athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers will be required to fill out 3 different on-line waivers for the meet. The first two are due by tomorrow. The third one is to be done daily and is due no earlier then 1 hour before arriving to CPHS High School. You will find a form attached here with QR codes that will take you to the waivers. Please take care of this immediately. If you are interested in apparel for the meet here is the link. Please check your swimmers events. Make sure they are entered in no more then 3 events per day, the correct age group, their entry times reflect their current best time, and please look for any other possible mistake. I will be sending our final entry at the conclusion of practice tomorrow evening. Any changes/corrections need to be emailed to me by 6:00 PM EST. Our updated list of relays is attached here as well. If your athlete was previously listed and there is no longer a relay it is because other swimmers on our first draft chose not to attend the meet. The selection of swimmers for the 15 and over boys relays will be decided at the meet. As of this morning here are the pertinent times for this weekend's meet. All times are local to Crown Point, IN. Crown Point is on CST. Times are subject to change based on the final entry numbers they will receive tomorrow. We need your help!! PEASE sign-up in any available spot. USA Swimming Guidelines-MAAPPUSA USA Swimming issued a directive with regards to electronic communication and social media contact between coaches and athletes. Most of what is being implemented is common sense and falls in line with our club's policies. One new requirement we will need to adhere to is how your minor child communicates with me. For several years I have asked swimmers in Group 2 and Group 3 to text/email me if they would be missing practice. Moving forward, swimmers will be instructed to include a parent on all communication with me.
If you are the parent of a Group 2 or Group 3 swimmer, and have never sent me a text before, please text me so I have your contact info in my phone. This way if I need to contact your swimmer about missing practice I can be sure to include you. My cell phone number is 574-276-6057.
I encourage all parents and swimmers to read the full policy. We are required to keep this policy on our website, here is the link.
