Practice notes: NP swimmers are welcome to attend any of their corresponding group's practice at RHS.  Group 2 swimmers attending Friday practice are reminded to bring workout clothes including running shoes.

Team Suit Fitting for NP Satellite Thursday Sept. 28th
Just Add H2O will be at New Prairie High School between 5:00-6:30 CST for a suit fitting.  They will also have practice suits, goggles, and caps available for purchase.

A team suit is not a requirement.  This is just something we wanted to offer for those swimmers and families that were interested.

Intra-Squad Meet Tuesday October 3rd
All swimmers will be entered in this meet.  If you know your swimmer will be unable to attend please log in to your account, click on the "MEETS/EVENTS" tab, scroll to the "Intra-Squad Meet", click on the "Edit Commitment" button, and choose the "No" option.

There is no practice on this day and there is no cost for swimmers to compete.  We would like all of our swimmers to be on deck by 5:30 and we will start the meet as close to 6:00 as possible.

After the meet is over (meet last about 75 minutes) we head to the cafeteria for a pizza party/potluck dinner for our families.  We are asking all families to bring their favorite dish to share.  Families with the last names beginning with A-M bring their favorite side dish and families with the last names starting with N-Z bring their favorite dessert.  Remember we are required to clean up so we ask that no one bring brownies.

We are going to need some help from our parents at the meet.  We are going to need 16 timers, 6 parents to help with the cafeteria including 2 arriving at 5:15.  We also need everyone who is able, to stay and help clean up.  We are responsible for any mess we make including trash removal. Here is the link to sign up for any of these jobs. (Make sure you are signed into our site)

NCISC Meet Saturday October 7th
This is the first actual meet on our schedule.  This meet is appropriate for our entire team.  If you would like your swimmer to attend you will need to use the websites meet declaration process.  Same process as listed above but chose the "Yes" option.  The deadline to commit to this meet is next Sunday October 1st

The cost of this meet is $6.  Swimmers may be able to swim 3 individual events and 2 relays.  As I mentioned in the parents meetings we are required to have a concession stand and a hospitality room for the coaches and workers of the meet.  Since donations never seemed to work quite as well as we would have liked we now require each family to pay an additional $10.  This will be on your October 1st billing.

Since this is a meet we host we also need several volunteers to run a successful meet.  We will need timers, concession stand workers, hospitality room helpers, credential check point workers, and some help with the awards.  Most jobs are set up for two hour time slots.  If you can volunteer for more then one two hour spot it would be greatly appreciated. You can get to jobs volunteer page by clicking here, remember to make sure you are logged in to our website.

The Arts Parks & Venues Department is holding a lifeguard class this fall at Washington High School.  See the attached flyer for more information.

Swim-A-Thon
We picked up a little steam this week but we still have a long way to meet our goal.  The funds this season are going to help cover our coach's salaries, pay for our sports performance consultant, and if we raise enough money we would like to purchase the Ikkos mental training system

Required Paperwork
Thank you to all the families who brought in the required paperwork.  We do still have several families who need to turn in more items
1. If you are brand new to the club/USA Swimming you need to provide a copy of your swimmer's birth certificate
2.  All swimmers (this includes returning athletes) need to fill out a USA Swimming form each year.  The form is attached.
3. If during registration you answered yes to the question regarding free/reduced lunch you will need to provide documentation from your swimmer's school stating their eligibility.

Advertising Credit

Selling a one year ad on our website could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information.

Another easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club.
