CON IMX Meet Jan. 20th-22nd
The deadline for opting out of this meet is next Sunday, December 4th. If you have not made a decision about this meet you will receive a follow up email sometime this week.
Group 2 Day at RHS this Thursday December 1st
Every
year we invite our Group 2 swimmers to time at a Riley home meet. We
would like all of the swimmers that are able to come be at the pool by
5:15 and for them to wear their team T-shirt from this season. The club
will provide pizzas and drinks for all of those that are able to
attend. The meet will begin at 6:00 and should be done by 7:30

The second order of shirts has arrived and they will be passed out this week at practice

Doors open at 5:00 CST-our swimmers should be waiting at the doors
Meet starts 6:00 CST
Saturday and Sunday AM Sessions (all 10 and under swimmers)
Warm-ups 7:00-7:45 CST -our swimmers should be on deck by 6:45 CST
Meet starts 8:00 CST
Saturday and Sunday PM session (all 11 and over swimmers)
Warm-ups 11:00-11:45 CST-our swimmers should be on deck by 10:45 CST
Meet starts 12:00 CST
I will be the coach on deck for most of the meet with the exception of the last half of Saturday
afternoon. Please send me a text if you will be running late or if
anything else comes up. Our entry is attached for your reference.
SWAC Fall Invite

If you are ever in need to speak to a coach please let the coach know in advance and please plan to meet after practice. Time before and during practice needs to be devoted to our swimmers. They deserve our full attention and anything outside of an emergency should wait until the swimmers are off the pool deck.
If you need to contact me there are several ways to do so. If you need to let me know your swimmer is ill or anything else that does not require more then a few word response a text message works well. Any other type of communication should be done through email. I am in front of a computer multiple times a day and it is the easiest way for me to respond quickly to your concerns. Voice-mail and Facebook (or other social media) messages are the least effective way to get in touch with me. My time is limited during the day when I can return calls. All social media sites are blocked on the school computers and I would not be able to respond in a timely manner.

I will post the results and update all the pertinent pages as soon as the results file is sent out. You can follow our swimmers competing today on the the Meet Mobile App. Type SWAC in the search box that should locate the meet. If it doesn't the official meet name is listed as 2016 IN SWAC Fall in the Pool Prelims/Finals.

If anyone has noticed a mistake in their swimmers entry. Specifically, your swimmer is not entered in enough events please let me know as soon as you can.

NASA Sprint Meet Plus
Congratulations to our entire team for such outstanding performances last weekend. We had an amazing 162 new best times including several that have moved up or into our all time top 10. You can click here to see the results and here to see the Top 10. Here is our updated qualifiers page. A huge congratulations to Sammy Sierra who obliterated the team record book. He set new records in the following 11-12 boys events: 25 free (13.20), 200 free (2:09.35), 25 fly (13.30), 100 fly (1:02.27), 25 back (14.83), 50 back (29.95), 100 back (1:05.66), and the 100 breast (1:13.15)

SBSC Website
Part
of our marketing plan was to establish a new brand and update the image
for our club. This included new brochures and a new look for our
logo. We hired Franko Design
out of Elkhart to do this work for us. The design concept included a
couple of variations on a general theme. Mr. Franko wanted to tie our
look with the history of South Bend. If you look closer at the logo on
the front of this season's T-shirt you will notice the swimmer's head
resembles the "S" Studebaker logo. (Yes, we did receive permission from
the Studebaker Museum to use this). We will using the circular "S"
design on our new caps Coincidentally, with our color scheme it also
looks quite a bit like our new city flag. With all the new artwork we
were able to give the South Bend Swim Club website a
very sleek new look. If you have not seen it yet please take a look.
All the same valuable information is still on the site just some will
located in slightly different locations.
Parent Meeting
Thank
you for the parents who took time out of their schedule to hear Ava
discuss the athlete-parent-coach triangle and the important role you
play. Our plan is to bring back Ava once a month to lead these type of
conversation/parent ed meetings. Please let me know your thoughts on
the meeting and if there are any topics or subject matter you would like
discussed.
NASA Sprint Meet Plus
A great day
yesterday for our club with several lifetime best swims. I will post
all the meet information as soon as it becomes available. If you are
unable to be at the meet today
you can track how the club is doing by going to our website and
locating the black button on the left side of the page titled "TouchPad
live". It is located just above the "Find us on Facebook" button.
