Dear SBSC families, Practice Schedule Riley HS Group 1 Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:30 G1 Elite Wednesday 5:30-7:15 Group 2 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:30-7:15 Group 3 Monday Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 3:45-5:30 New Prairie HS Group 1 Monday and Tuesday 5:00-6:30 PM CST Group 2 No practice until spring/summer season due to Middle School swim season Group 3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:00-6:30 PM CST Practice Notes: *Most of our the Group 2 and Group 3 athletes are tapering (reduced workload) for Divisionals/Sr. State and will be finishing practice early. The Group 2 practices will finish somewhere between 7:00 and 7:15 and Group 3 between 5:15-5:30 each night. Riley families please use door #22. This is the door on the north west corner of the building and faces Fellows Street. If you are planning on staying to watch practice there is a stairwell that is adjacent to this door and this will lead you to the seating area. Everyone choosing to stay to watch practice must be wearing a mask and social distance while in the seating gallery. New Prairie swimmers are welcome to attend their corresponding group's practice at Riley. CON Last Chance Meet A very good first two days for our club with several new cuts I will post all the results to the appropriate pages first chance I get this week Divisionals -- Lake Central High School -- March 4-6 Our entry is attached. You can view your swimmers events by logging on to our website or using the OnDeck app. Please check the accuaracy of the entry. If there are any errors you notice please let me know. If your swimmer has achieved a first time cut this weekend and now wants to swim at Divisionals or is entered in an event and now has a state cut they achieved this weekend, again, please emal me by tonight let me know. I will send out our final update out tomorrow evening. Here are the pertinent times for this weekend's meet. All times listed are CST Friday (events #1-#16) Warm-ups 3:30-4:45 -- our athletes should be on deck by 3:30 Meet Starts 5:00 Saturday and Sunday prelims (11 and over swimmers) Warm-ups 6:45-7:45 -- our athletes should be on deck by 6:45 Meet Starts 8:00 Saturday and Sunday finals (11 and over swimmers) Warm-ups 2:15-3:15 -- our athletes should be on decy by 2:15 Meet Starts 3:15 Saturday and Sunday (10 and under swimmers) Warm-ups 11:15-11:50 -- our athletes should be on deck by 11:00 Meet Starts 12:00 I will be the coach on deck for the entire meet. If you are running late or will not be able to make it please text me ASAP. USA Swimming Guidelines-MAAPP/Safe Sport USA Swimming issued a directive with regards to electronic communication and social media contact between coaches and athletes. Most of what is being implemented is common sense and falls in line with our club's policies. One new requirement we will need to adhere to is how your minor child communicates with me. For several years I have asked swimmers in Group 2 and Group 3 to text/email me if they would be missing practice. Moving forward, swimmers will be instructed to include a parent on all communication with me.
 If you are the parent of a Group 2 or Group 3 swimmer, and have never sent me a text before, please text me so I have your contact info in my phone. This way if I need to contact your swimmer about missing practice I can be sure to include you. My cell phone number is 574-276-6057.

USA Swimming Safe Sport staff is hosting Zoom trainings for parents, minor athletes and coaches to assist clubs in completing the Training and Education requirement of the Safe Sport Club Recognition program. All participants will need to register to attend training. Friday (events #1-#12) Doors open at 3:30 Warm-ups 4:00-4:45 -- our swimmers should be on deck by 3:45 Check in closes at 4:15 -- if your athlete has not signed in by this time they may not get to swim Meet starts 5:10 Saturday and Sunday AM Session (9/10 and 11/12 age groups) Doors open 7:00 AM Warm-ups start 7:30-8:15 -- our swimmers should be on deck by 7:15 Check in closes at 7:45 -- if your athlete has not signed in by this time they may not get to swim Meet starts 8:30 Saturday and Sunday PM Session (8 & under and 13 & over age groups) Warm-ups for 13 & overs 12:30-1:15 -- our swimmers should be on deck by 12:15 Warm-ups for 8 & unders 1:15-1:35 -- our swimmers should be on deck by 1:00 Check in closes at 1:00 -- if your athlete has not signed in by this time they may not get to swim Meet starts 1:45 Coach Kelli (574-850-1336) will be the coach on deck on Friday, Coach Carol (574-292-0553) on Saturday, and I (574-276-6057) will be the coach on deck on Sunday. If your swimmer will not be able to make it or you are running late please text the appropriate coach. Remember if your swimmer is not signed in by the above posted times the check in closes they may not get to swim. Divisionals -- Lake Central High School -- March 4-6 Tonight is the last day to sign-up for Divisionals. Our initial entry will be going out first thing tomorrow morning. If your swimmer has yet to qualify but will swim at the meet if they qualify this weekend please commit them. Any swimmer with a new cut this weekend can be added to the meet. IHSAA Boy's Sectionals-Riley High School Thursday and Saturday of this week RHS is hosting the boys swimming sectionals. We are in need of some adult timers and I am hoping we can staff the majority of the positions with our parent group. The prelims start at 5:30 on Thursday and 1:00 on Saturday for finals. Timers would need to be on deck at Riley 30 minutes prior to the start of each session. Wendy Chapman has volunteered to coordinate this for us.
