Practice notes: No practice at Riley on Tuesday or Thursday due to a high school meets. Swimmers attending practice on Friday
are reminded to bring dry-land clothes, including running shoes. NP
swimmers are welcome to attend any of their corresponding group's
practices at RHS.
Last Day of the Winter Season/First Day of Spring-Summer Season
Our last practice for all groups will be March 22nd.
(NP Group 2: see next heading below) All swimmers will be moved to the
long course season (spring/summer) billing groups at the end of March.
If you are not planning on being part of the club during April please
let me know sometime prior to March 15th and I will put your swimmer on the inactive roster. Our first practices for the spring/summer season will be the week of April 8th-14th. This is the week we return from spring break.
NP Group 2
I
apparently was not as clear as I thought I was in last week's email. I
received multiple questions regarding how we will proceed for this
group. While we won't be offering Group 2 practices at New Prairie
during February or March these athletes are still on our active roster.
They are still eligible to swim in meets and can even use times done in
middle school to qualify for Divisionals and Age Group State. We will resume Group 2 practices at New Prairie in April when our spring and summer season begins. I
will be changing these swimmer's billing groups from short course (our
current fall/winter season) to long course (spring/summer). If you are
not planning on having your swimmer participate with the club this
spring please inform me by March 15th to avoid being billed on April 1st.
I
did have a request that I am more then willing to accommodate. From my
understanding their will be limited practice time, at least initially,
for middle school practices. If you would like your swimmer to
supplement their middle school practices they will be allowed to
practice at Riley with Group 2. The standard monthly training fees ($35)
will apply. If you are interested in doing this please inform me as
soon as possible.
NCISC Championship Meet Saturday February 10th
This
is the last meet we will host this season. We will need everyone who
is available to help that day to volunteer. The job section of the meet
is now open. Please pick any job. I also wanted to remind people of
the $10 concession stand/hospitality room fee you will see on your
account. This fee will be assessed to all of our members including our
high school swimmers.
I
have attached the meet letter to help answer any questions you might
have. There were several problems with the entry file that was uploaded
to our site (operator error). It caused a blurring/combining of the
age groups into one session. The correct order of events will have all
of the 10 and under swimmers in the morning session. The afternoon
session will be for swimmers 11 and over. Due to the way we are
required by the conference to designate the 13 and over events as "Open"
the afternoon session will be listed as an option for our younger
swimmers. Please do not pick session 2 if your swimmer is 10 years old
or younger. I will post all the pertinent times in next week's email.

CON Last Chance Meet-Concord High School-February 23rd-25th
This
is the last regular season meet on our schedule. If you are available
for even one session of this meet please commit your swimmer. If they
haven't qualified for any of the championship meets this will be their
chance to compete until May.

Advertising Credit
We
have had 3 new advertisers to our website this season. These
advertisers were sold ad space by two of our families. It has generated
a total $725.85 of credit on their swim club accounts! We will give 50% of whatever money raised right back to to you!! The best sales commission ever?!
A
Group 2 or Group 3 annual membership plus all the other associated fees
with our membership -- spirit wear, meet surcharges, technology fees,
concession stand/hospitality fees, USA Swimming-- is just under $550 for
an entire year. (A Group 1 annual membership is about $100 less.) If
you were able to sell two of the the Premiere+ adds it could easily pay for a whole year of swimming including meet entry fees!
Selling a one year ad to one company could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information.
Another
easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our
recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will
receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of
it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club.
