Practice Notes:This is the IHSAA Moratorium week. This means I will not be on deck during practice for the majority of the week. Unlike when we practiced at Riley where I could sequester my self in the pool office, the WHS pool is not set up as conveniently for this. I will remain in the building (or very close by) and will have my phone with me if you need to contact me. If you have high school aged swimmer please remind them they are not to contact me until Monday the 6th. This includes sending text messages, emailing, calling or even speaking to me if they happen to run into me somewhere. Coach Drew will be covering Group 3 practices this week and swimmers should contact her if they will be late or are going to miss practices. Her phone number is 574-302-7926. Please remind your swimmers they are not to arrive prior to 15 minutes practice starting. If you are picking your swimmers up they are to be picked up within 15 minutes of the scheduled ending time.

Age Group State Parking Passes
I apologize for the late notice. If you would like a parking pass for the entire weekend the cost is $20. I will need to know by tomorrow the 29th if you would like one. If you do not have a pass it will cost $6 every time you enter one of the parking garages. There is also an soccer game on Saturday evening and the cost for parking in the garage after3:30 on Saturday will be $10. If you choose to use the garage without purchasing a pass please note they will not accept cash only debit and credit cards

Practice Notes:Group 2 will no longer be doing an extended dry-land on Fridays. But, all swimmers should bring dry-land clothes (running shoes, t-shirt, and shorts) to every workout just in case there is ever an issue with the pool.

Washington High School
Thank you to everyone for following the procedures while we are at WHS. As I have mentioned, we are very lucky to have alternatives when our primary facility is not accessible. I for one have been very happy with the space and how are swimmers have responded to being slightly more cramped then usual. Please continue remember to use the parking lot across the street and all siblings attending practice must be under constant supervision.
Equipment Bags
All Group 2 and Group 3 swimmers should have been issued equipment and mesh bags. If they have not please let me know so I can make sure they have one.

Practice Notes: We start our regular summer hours schedule on Thursday this week. Group 1 and G1 Elite will not see changes. Group 2 (starting the week of 6/14) will not have Wednesday PM practices. Group 3's main practice will be in the morning with a shorter evening practice starting at 5:00. This is the last week we are at Riley for possibly the rest of the summer season. Startingnext Monday, the 15th, we will be practicing at Washington High School There is always a chance they will finish the work early, but if recent history is used as a guideline we will not be back to RHS until the fall.
Group 2 Swimmers
We will also start allowing some of our Group 2 swimmers to attend morning workouts this week. Swimmers must have at least one Divisional cut in their age group and will only be allowed to attend a certain number of workouts each week. 11 year olds will be allowed one morning a week, 12 year olds 2, 13 year olds 3, and 14 year olds 4. Please check with me before bringing your swimmer to one of these practices. For those swimmers choosing to attend Group 3 workouts there will be a $15 charge per month added to those accounts

The results are in from the IA May Invite and we have set 13 new LCM team records. Congratulations to the following swimmers. Autumn Baumgartner set new records in the 11-12 girls 50 free (29.38) and the 200 free (2:19.86). Aiden Maurer set three new records in the 13-14 boys age group with new top times in the 400 free (5:00.39), the 400 IM (5:39.25), and the 800 Free (10:11.64). Our big record breaker of the weekend was Sammy Sierra who set 8 new records in the 11-12 boys age group. His new record swims were in the 50 back (36.92), the 50 free (32.05), the 100 fly (1:15.56), the 200 back (2:54.38), the 200 breast (3:18.44), the 200 fly (2:55.65), the 200 free (2:37.92) and the 200 IM (2:49.84)
