Practice Notes: No practice on Friday
due to Divisionals. Please, prior to leaving for practice check your
email, our website, or any of our social sites for weather related
cancellations. Also, please remember if either NPUSC or SBCSC cancels
school for the day we must also cancel our club practices. New Prairie
swimmers are welcome to attend their corresponding group's practice at
Riley. New Prairie swimmers and parents are asked to enter NPHS through
door S6.
Purdue Swim Camps
The
information flyer is attached. If we have 10 swimmers from the club
attend the camp each swimmer will receive a $50 rebate when they check
in on Sunday of the camp. If we have 15 swimmers they will receive a $75 rebate.
Any other camp information I receive I will pass along in the weekly emails
Divisionals 3/1-3/3 Northridge High School
I have attached our entry as of early Friday afternoon. I will be able to make changes/additions/deletions through tomorrow evening. If your swimmer swam a new cut time time this weekend please email me. This will help avoid any errors on my part.
Here are the pertinent times for this weekend's meet
Friday events #1-#16:
Warm-ups 3:45 -5:15 (our swimmers need to be on deck by 3:45)
Meet Starts 5:15
Saturday and Sunday Prelim sessions: 11 and over swimmers
Warm-ups 6:30-7:45 (our swimmers need to be on deck by 6:45)
Meet Starts 8:00
Saturday and Sunday Timed Finals-10 and under swimmers
Warm-ups 11:30-12:00 (our swimmers need to be on deck by 11:15)
Meet Starts 12:15
Saturday and Sunday Finals: 11 & over swimmers
Warm-ups 2:15-3:00 (our swimmers need to be on deck by 2:15)
Meet starts 3:15
I will be the coach on deck at all sessions. If you are running late or your swimmer is ill please send a text to 574-276-6057.
The last scheduled practice for each of our Groups will be Thursday March 21st.
If we have athletes who are choosing to attend Speedo Sectionals we
will of course offer practices for those swimmers. After the 21st all
swimmers will be moved to the long course season (spring/summer) for
billing purposes. If you are not planning on swimming the spring/summer
season please let me know prior to March 15th.
Our first practice for the spring/summer season will be the week of April 7th-13th, the week following spring break.
Advertising Credit
A
Group 2 or Group 3 annual membership plus all the other associated fees
with our membership -- spirit wear, meet surcharges, technology fees,
concession stand/hospitality fees, USA Swimming-- is approximately $550
for an entire year. (A Group 1 annual membership is about $100 less.)
If you were able to sell two of the Premiere+ adds it could easily pay for a whole year of swimming including meet entry fees!
Selling a one year ad to one company could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information.
Another
easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our
recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will
receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of
it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club.

Below
is our fall/winter meet schedule. Swimmers wanting to compete will
need to commit to those meets. The deadlines are based on deadlines
that were set last year. They may change once the meet hosts posts the
meet information. When committing to multiple day meets please leave a
message in the available notes section of what days you would like to
attend. Meets marked with an * are meets that require swimmers to meet
certain time standards. All pool locations can be found on our website
under the "Pools" tab
