Fall Registration
I am not sure if everyone is aware, but the South Bend Swim Club is a partner program with the South Bend Venues Parks & Arts (formerly Parks and Rec).  Due to our partnership we are afforded a lot of opportunities we would not be able to have if we were on our own.  But this also requires us to follow their insurance guidelines.  One of the guidelines required all swimmers to be 7 years old. But, starting this fall this is no longer the case.  I was informed last week that we are now able to take swimmers who are 6 years old.

Our on-line registration will be up and running no later then August 6th.  Our first day of practice for all groups will be the Tuesday after Labor Day, September 4th.  All swimmers, including those currently active, who plan on being part of the team will need to register prior to starting practice.

Senior State
Congrats to our entire team. We finished tied for 13th.  I believe this is our highest finish at long course state.  We had 40 best times and set 12 new records.  In the 15 -18 age group Forrest Baumgartner 50 Free (24.26), Aiden Maurer 200 Free (1:59.59) & 400 Free (4:15.15), and Evie Sierra 800 Free (9:24.86), 200 Fly (2:18.96), & 1500 Free (17:39.99).  Allison Walker also set records in our 19 and over age group.  Her records were in the 100 Fly (1:06.31), 200 IM (2:32.96), 400 Free (4:42.87), 200 Fly (2:29.12), 400 IM (5:25.33), and 50 free (28.44)

Last Day of the Summer Season
Here are the last days for each of our groups
Group 1 and G1 Elite This Thursday August 2nd
Group 2 This Friday August 3rd
Group 3 Friday August 10th--AM practices only from 8/5-10
NP Groups: July 19th-NP swimmers should attend practices at RHS until the end of the season.

No one will be charged any training fees for the month of August.

Our first practice in the fall will be the Tuesday after Labor Day, September 4th.  All swimmers wanting to be part of our program this fall will need to register through our on-line platform.  I plan to have that up and running no later than August 6th.

Advertising Credit
A Group 2 or Group 3 annual membership plus all the other associated fees with our membership -- spirit wear, meet surcharges, technology fees, concession stand/hospitality fees, USA Swimming-- is just under $550 for an entire year. (A Group 1 annual membership is about $100 less.)  If you were able to sell two of the Premiere+ adds it could easily pay for a whole year of swimming including meet entry fees!
Selling a one year ad to one company could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information.

Another easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club.
