Practice Schedule

RHS Practice Groups

Group 1 Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:30

G1 Elite Monday 5:00-7:30

Group 2 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:00-7:30 and Friday 5:00-6:30

Group 3 PM  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 3:30-6:00, and Thursday and Friday 5:00-6:30

Group 3 AM Thursday and Friday 6:30-9:15

NPHS Practice Groups

Group 1 Tuesday and Thursday 5:00-6:30 CST

Group 2&3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 4:00-6:30 CST

Practice Notes: Group 2 practices will now begin at 5:00.  Starting next week there will not be Wednesday practices for any RHS group.  NP practices will begin an hour earlier for the remainder of the summer.  Group 2 swimmers are allowed to attend am workouts based on their age.  11 year olds once a week, 12 year olds twice, 13-3 times, and 14-4 times per week.  Group 2 swimmers will need to be above 75% attendance of their practices to attend AM workouts. Group 2 swimmers will need to have at least one Divisional cut or permission from me to attend AM practices.  As always, NP swimmers are allowed to attend any of their group's corresponding practice at Riley.

Summer Hour and Entrance Into The Building

Starting Thursday this week practices at RHS will follow our summer schedule.  We are also asking all swimmers and parents to enter and exit the building through door #22.  This door is on the northwest corner of the building and faces Fellows Street.  There is a stairwell at this entrance that leads directly to our seating area.  That door will be the one we open for parents who choose to stay and watch practice. Parents please pick up your swimmers at this end of the building.

New Prairie Pool Updates

NPHS will have building shutdowns this summer due to  electrical (intermittent power) and plumbing work.  The building will be closed the week of June 25-29th and July 2nd-6th. NP swimmers always have the option of attending practices at RHS.  Starting this week of NP practices will return to the earlier practice times we used last summer (see above schedule).

MSC Summer Splash June 22nd-24th

The deadline to commit to this meet is tonight Sunday June 3rd. I apologize for not being more clear on the requirements for this meet.  There are time standards that MSC has set for swimmers to be eligible.  This wording is included in the meet letter

**MSC will be using a minimum of “B” TIME STANDARDS for ALL ENTRIES (USA swimming Time Standards 2017-2020). 15 & Over events standards will be based on 15-16 yr. old motivational “B”times.  MSC reserves the right to allow MSC registered members to swim events regardless of TIME STANDARDS.

You can view those time standards by clicking here.  Page 1 has the time standards for long course meters and page 2 for yards.  Use the the far right column for boys and the far left for girls.

NASA Summer Invite, Northridge High School, SATURDAY June 23rd

Our entry has been sent.  I will include all pertinent information in a future weekly email.

Advertising Credit 

A Group 2 or Group 3 annual membership plus all the other associated fees with our membership -- spirit wear, meet surcharges, technology fees, concession stand/hospitality fees, USA Swimming-- is just under $550 for an entire year. (A Group 1 annual membership is about $100 less.)  If you were able to sell two of the the Premiere+ adds it could easily pay for a whole year of swimming including meet entry fees!

Selling a one year ad to one company could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information. 

Another easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club.

Spring and Summer Meet Schedule

Below is our spring/summer meet schedule.  Swimmers wanting to compete will need to commit to those meets. If you are only given the option of "yes" or "no" when committing please leave a message in the available notes section of what days you would like to attend.
