World Championship Silver Medalist
Former SBSC swimmer Bethany Galat (still holds 21 SBSC team records) and current 200M Breaststroke Silver Medalist from the 2017 World Championships will be in Indianapolis for the TYR Pro Series in a couple of weeks.  She has graciously excepted our offer to come speak to our swimmers.  She will be visiting us on Monday May 21st. All of our swimmers from every group are invited to practice this evening.  The 21st is a Monday and we do not typically offer Group 1 practices, but since this is not an everyday opportunity we will be adding a Group 1 practice that evening.  As more details are worked out I will include them in the weekly emails.

Miami of Ohio Swim Camps
Below is the email I received from member of the Miami coaching Staff.  If any of your swimmers would possibly be interested in attending Miami for college going to a camp is the easiest way to get on the coach's radar.

Miami University Swimming and Diving is excited to announce the return of a competitive swim camp in Oxford, Ohio. These camps, open to any and all boys and girls ages 10-18, will be instructed by the Miami University coaching staff. At Miami University Swim Camp, campers can expect to leave having a better understanding of the sport and to have great days of training at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center.  The facility, which features an eight-lane, 50-meter pool and a separate 25-meter diving well, will allow campers to gain experience with long-course training. Each day campers will experience up to four hours of in-water time, two in-classroom sessions and quality dryland work. Water and dryland sessions will mix technical focus as well as quality training. Classroom sessions will mix group video review and technical presentations. Each athlete can expect video analysis, in an effort to elicit benefits well after camp has concluded. Along with the comprehensive learning, campers will enjoy the opportunity to experience life on Miami’s historic campus. Living in the dorms, eating at dining halls and touring the campus, guided by current students, will foster a better understanding of the college experience in Oxford.

For 2018 we will run two five-day, four-night camp sessions. Session One will run June 3rd - June 7th. Session Two will run June 10th - June 14th. We will provide both overnight and day camp options. Athletes will be grouped based on ability and technical needs.

Passing this information along to any athletes or families that might be interested would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to welcoming some of your swimmers to Oxford this summer and seeing you all on pool decks as well.

Thank you for your time and attention,
Miami Swimming Staff

Advertising Credit
A Group 2 or Group 3 annual membership plus all the other associated fees with our membership -- spirit wear, meet surcharges, technology fees, concession stand/hospitality fees, USA Swimming-- is just under $550 for an entire year. (A Group 1 annual membership is about $100 less.)  If you were able to sell two of the the Premiere+ adds it could easily pay for a whole year of swimming including meet entry fees!
Selling a one year ad to one company could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information.

Another easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club.
