Practice Schedule

RHS Practice Groups

Group 1 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:15

G1 Elite Monday 5:30-7:30

Group 2 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:30-7:30, and Friday 5:00-6:30

Group 3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 3:30-6:00, and Friday 3:30-5:00

NPHS Practice Groups

Group 1 Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:15

Group 2&3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:30-7:30

Practice Notes: We are offering a Group 1 practice on Monday evening so our Group 1 swimmers can meet Bethany Galat! Swimmers attending Group 2's Friday practice are reminded to bring dryland clothes including running shoes.  As always NP swimmers are allowed to attend any of their group's corresponding practice at Riley.

World Championship Silver Medalist

Bethany will be at practice Monday.  She will be working out with our Group 3 swimmers.  She will also be giving short talks to both Group 1 and Group 2 and will be getting to show some of our younger swimmers some drills that have helped her.  Just a reminder, our NP swimmers are welcome to attend tomorrow's practice.  It is not that often that swimmers get to meet and work with members of the US National team so please, if you can make it work into your schedule, take advantage of this great opportunity.

New Prairie Pool Updates

Coach Ashley was informed last week there will be building shutdowns due to  electrical (intermittent power) and plumbing work.  NPHS will be closed the week of June 25-29th and July 2nd-6th. NP swimmers have the option of attending practices at RHS.  Also, starting either next week or the following week we will return to the earlier times of summer practice we used last summer.   The correct schedules will be included in next week's email.

IA May Invitational, ND

A great weekend for our club we had new best times, a couple of new Age Group State cuts and several Divisional cuts.  Here is our new all time top ten, our long course qualifiers page, and our meet results.

CON BW3 Invite, Merrifield Pool-Mishawaka, June 1st-3rd

Our entry has been sent.  I will include all pertinent information in next Sunday's email.

MSC Summer Splash June 22nd-24th

I apologize for not being more clear on the requirements for this meet.  There are time standards that MSC has set for swimmers to be eligible.  This wording is included in the meet letter

**MSC will be using a minimum of “B” TIME STANDARDS for ALL ENTRIES (USA swimming Time Standards 2017-2020). 15 & Over events standards will be based on 15-16 yr. old motivational “B”times.  MSC reserves the right to allow MSC registered members to swim events regardless of TIME STANDARDS.

You can view those time standards by clicking here.  Page 1 has the time standards for long course meters and page 2 for yards.  Use the the far right column for boys and the far left for girls.  If you were planning on attending this meet but your swimmer does not have any cuts, or only a couple of cuts and you don't feel it is worth it to attend for one or two swims, you can still enter the NASA meet.  I have not yet set the entry because I realized there were some swimmers that may fall into this category.  But, I  will be sending out no later then Wednesday morning so please let me know as soon as you can.

NASA Summer Invite, Northridge High School, SATURDAY June 23rd

Our entry has not been sent.  Please see above. I will include all pertinent information in a future weekly email.

Advertising Credit 

A Group 2 or Group 3 annual membership plus all the other associated fees with our membership -- spirit wear, meet surcharges, technology fees, concession stand/hospitality fees, USA Swimming-- is just under $550 for an entire year. (A Group 1 annual membership is about $100 less.)  If you were able to sell two of the the Premiere+ adds it could easily pay for a whole year of swimming including meet entry fees!

Selling a one year ad to one company could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information. 

Another easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club.
