Practice notes: Any Group 2 swimmer wishing to continue to swim this month may practice with Group 3. The last practice for the fall and winter season will be Wednesday March 29th.
Senior State Championships
Once again our swimmers are doing an outstanding job. We have already set several new team records with one day left to go. You can follow all the action on your Meet Mobile app. I will update and post the pertinent pages to our website as soon as I receive the results file.
Age Group State With only 7 swimmers competing we were still able to place 25th overall as a team! We also set 10 new individual records and 3 new relay records. Congratulations to the following swimmers. Autumn Baumgartner set new records in the 13-14 girls 50 Free (24.94), 100 Back (58.35) 100 Free (53.11) and 500 Free (5:15.51). Michael Burns set new records in the 13-14 boys 200 Breast (2:20.63) and 200 IM (2:09.16). Evie Sierra set a new record in the 13-14 girls 200 Fly (2:08.91), 1000 Free (10:41.73), and 1650 Free (17:41.40) Sammy Sierra set a new record in the 13-14 boys 200 Fly (2:08.71). Also Autumn, Evie, Gabby Costa and Lauren Meyer set new 13-14 records in the 400 Medley Relay (4:03.55), 200 Free Relay (1:42.68), and the 400 Free Relay (3:43.75).
Speedo Sectionals
I will be sending out our entry sometime tomorrow. If your swimmer has cuts and you would like them entered, and you have not informed me already, please email me sometime today.
Spring Registration
Our spring and summer registration is now open. I am asking for everyone's help in spreading the word. There is a link on our Facebook page and if everyone could share this post it would significantly increase our visibility.
Our first practices will be on Monday April 10th. The registration is only for new swimmers or former SBSC swimmers not currently registered for the fall/winter season. All current swimmers will be moved over to our spring roster and their billing status will remain the same. (Annual payers-no change, monthly payers-will continue to be billed monthly, seasonal payers-billed April 1st for the spring/summer season). If you do not plan to swim with club this spring or summer please email me prior to March 26th to avoid being charged for the April billing cycle.
Advertising Credit
Selling a one year ad on our website could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information.
Another easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club.
Upcoming Meet & Dates/location/deadline to opt out
Below is our spring and summer meet schedule. All swimmers are considered swimming in a meet unless the parent declines attending. I'm also asking if you know your swimmer will be attending please commit them to the meet. If the option to choose days is not yet available please leave a note as to which days you would like to attend.
