Fall and Winter Season
Our on-line registration platform will be active starting tomorrow Monday August 1st. You can click here to go directly to our registration page.  All swimmers will need to register to be on our active roster for the fall.  Also, please remember you will be registering for the fall/winter and the spring/summer seasons.  You of course have the option to discontinue at any time. Our first official practice for the fall will be Tuesday September 6th.

New for this season is we will be asking all Group 3 members to volunteer 4 hours during the upcoming season. This can either be assisting our coaching staff with our Group 1 practices or life-guarding any of the Group 1 or Group 2 practices.

We will also be changing the meet surcharge a little as well.  Last fall and winter season we charged $26 at registration.  This year we will charge $15 at registration and add $1 to the meet entry fees for each meet a swimmer attends.

New Prairie Satellite
I spoke with Coach Ashley this week and she informed me the NPHS pool construction has faced some delays.  Rest assured we are still committed to making the South Bend Swim Club a viable program for the New Carlisle/Rolling Prairie community.  Our plan is to start practice at NPHS beginning Monday October 3rd.  Families who plan on being part of the NP satellite are welcome to attend practices at Riley in the September or they can wait until October to begin.  Registrations that have selected any of the NP training groups will be contacted to determine when they would like to start practices.

Summer Divisionals
Another great start at a championship meet for our club.  We had 8 swimmers compete yesterday and every one earned a second a swim and 7 of the 8 made it on the podium!  We had two new state cuts achieved and Forrest Baumgartner and Bryce Knight each captured a Divisional Championship.  You can follow the results of the last day of competition on the Meet Mobile app.  The meet is listed as the 2016 North Indiana Summer Divisional Champ.

Swim Fest
What a great meet for our program.  We finished a combined 18th overall.  Almost reaching our team goal of top 15.  Our 17 swimmers posted a total of 53 new best times.  We set 8 new team relay recordsincluding all 5 in the girls 15 and over age group.  We also set 14 new individual team records.  Here are our new record holders:

Todd Suttor: men's 50 free (24.66)
Dakota Danks: men's 100 back (1:06.06)
Bryce Knight: boys 13-14 100 fly (1:06.92)
Kayla Molnar girls 15-18 200 free (2:09.67)
Autumn Baumgartner 13-14 girls 50 free (27.58) and 100 free (1:03.47)
Evie Sierra 13-14 girls 200 fly (2:26.96) and 1500 free (18:29.01)
Sammy Sierra 11-12 boys 50 back (33.88), 50 fly (30.26), 100 back (1:13.02), 200 fly (2:29.87), 200 IM (2:33.41), and his state champion swim in the 100 fly in a winning time of 1:06.48

Congratulations to the entire team.  I was told by more then one opposing coach our group of South Bend swimmers were an absolute class act.  It made me as proud as anything else we did in the water.

As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
