The "Edit Commitment" Button
This week we will have two meet deadlines.  Both are highlighted below.  Please remember this season swimmers will be assumed to be competing in all meets unless parents opt out of the meet.  For our new families if you have not set-up a form of automatic payment (credit card or checking account) or if I have not received a copy of your swimmers birth certificate they will notbe entered in meets after the intra-sqaud.

To opt out of a meet click on the the meets tab near the top of our website.  Scroll down to find the specific meet you are choosing to not attend.  Click on the Edit Commitment button and select "No, thanks, [swimmer's name] will not attend this event."

Birth Certificate/USA Swimming Membership Form/Outreach Swimmers
We still have a few outstanding birth certificates and several swimmers need to turn in their USA Swimming form

If your swimmer is new to us this season and was previously registered as a USA Swimming member, even as an unattached swimmer, a transfer form will need to be completed .  The $5 fee is waived since you will be registering for a new year.  The form is attached.

If during registration you answered yes to the question about financial assistance for your swimmer you received a credit for the USA Swimming membership.  To be able to receive that credit I will need a letter from your children's school stating their eligibility for assistance.  I will be sending all of our memberships to Indiana Swimming prior to the end of the week so please send those to me by Tuesday

Intra-Squad this Tuesday September 29th at Riley High School
This is our annual intra-squad meet/pizza party for our swimmers and their families.  This meet is for both our RHS an NPHS groups.  The meet is South Bend time.  We would like all swimmers to be on deck by 5:30The meet will start at 6:00.  Every swimmer, as with all of our meets this season, is assumed to be swimming.   If your swimmer will be unable to make the meet you will need to decline attendance with the "Edit Commitment" button you can find on the event page by tomorrow,Monday September 28th.

The meet will last approximately 60-75 minutes followed by a team pizza dinner/potluck in the RHS cafeteria. The club will provide the pizzas and drinks.  We are asking families to bring their favorite dish to share.  Families A-M bring their favorite dessert (no brownies) and families N-Z bring their favorite side dish.

Tri-Meet Vs DUNE/HOT, Laporte High School, Saturday 10-3

This is a great introductory meet for our new swimmers.  This is also an excellent opportunity for our more experienced swimmers to get some valuable race experience.  This meet will only cost $2 for each swimmer and they cold swim up to 3 events. Our warm-up time is set for8:00 AM (CDT) and the meet is scheduled to start at 9:00 (CDT). If your swimmer will be unable to make the meet you will need to decline attendance with the "Edit Commitment" button you can find on the event page byWednesday September 30th.

NCISC Sprint Meet, Riley High School, Saturday 10-10

This is an entire team meet.  It is being held at Riley high school.  This will be the first actual meet we are hosting this season.  This is another opportunity to swim in a meet that is very inexpensive.  Swimmers could swim up to 3 individual events and 2 relays and the total cost will be $6.  We will be running a hospitality and concession stand and we are looking for coordinators and volunteers.  More information will be coming soon.  If your swimmer will be unable to make the meet you will need to decline attendance with the "Edit Commitment" button you can find on the event page by Sunday October 4th, one week from today.

Vs.CON Dual Meet, Concord High School, Saturday 10-17

This our annual get together with the Concord Swim Club.  We will do a combined group 3 warm-up/short practice with Concord's high school swimmers. Concord will provide a breakfast for all those that attended the combined warm-up.  We received notice from Concord about some time changes.  We will be starting a little later then originally thought.  Here are the new times. Our Group 3 swimmers need to be on deck at 7:15.  All other swimmers need to be on deck by 8:45.  The meet starts at 9:45.  We have been asked to provide at least 15 timers.  Please volunteer!   If your swimmer will be unable to make the meet you will need to decline attendance with the "Edit Commitment" button you can find on the event page by Sunday October 11th .

3rd Annual Swim-A-Thon Saturday Oct 24th

The Swim-A-Thon fundraiser has been turned on and you should see the banner at the top of our homepage.  If not you can click here to get there.

As of this morning we only have 8 swimmers who have received donations.  Our membership numbers are over 100 this season.  So by any measure this is a very low percentage.  An email was sent this morning to our families who have not sent the donor email to their contacts. Please take a few minutes today and help our team with our only fundraiser.

The money we raise this season is going to invested in the club a little differently.  Our fist SAT we purchased underwater cameras and recording devices.  Last year we purchased a ton of dry-land and other training equipment.  This year about 1/3 of the money raised will go to some new training equipment.   Our primary purchase of this portion of money will be tempo trainers.  Around 15% will go to operational costs, including the 5% we are required to send to the USA Swimming Foundation.  I am hoping to spend 50% of the money raised on marketing and advertising for our club.  I have some ideas for this but if you have any you would like to share please let me know.

I have pledge forms and receipts in the pool office if you swimmer would like to collect donations/pledges this way

NASA Sprint Meet, Northridge High School, November 7th & 8th

The meet letter is now posted on our site.  The 10 and under swimmers will be in the morning session with warm-ups starting at 8:00 and a 9:05 meet start.  The 11 and over swimmers will be in the afternoon with an anticipated warmup start time of 12:00 and a 1:15 meet start  This is the last meet on the schedule our girl high school swimmers will be able to attend without an IHSAA waiver.  The deadline to decline attendance isSunday October 4th.  This is the last meet our high school swimmers will be automatically entered.  If you would like your high school entered in any subsequent meets you will need to commit them.
