Practice Notes: No practice on Friday at RHS. No practice on Thursday
at NPHS due to a middle school meet. Please, prior to leaving for
practice check your email, our website, or any of our social sites for
weather related cancellations. Also, please remember if either NPUSC or
SBCSC cancels school for the day we must also cancel our club
practices. New Prairie swimmers are welcome to attend their
corresponding group's practice at Riley. New Prairie swimmers and
parents are asked to enter NPHS through door S6.
Age Group State
Congratulations to Gabe Groves, our lone representative at State this weekend. On Saturday
he had 3 swims, two were the second fastest swims of his career and one
was a lifetime best. His best time came in the 50 free and he now has
the 3rd fastest time in that event in club history. Gabe has two more
races today, the 100 back and 100 free. You can follow Gabe all all the action on the Meet Mobile app.
Swim Backpacks
This
season (after countless fund raisers) the Riley Boys Swim Team bought
new warm-ups and team backpacks. We now have several backpacks that are
looking for a new home. These are the older model bags and some are a
little worse for wear but most have several seasons left in them.
Coincidentally enough, the Riley backpacks are the same team colors as
SBSC backpacks. If you have a Group 1 or Group 2 swimmer and would like
a free backpack for them stop by after any practice and take a look. I will only be handing these out to parents.

Our entry is attached. I sent an update on Friday and the updated report is the one attached. If you notice any error please notify me immediately. All pertinent times for this weekend's meet are listed below.

For
all of our Senior State parents attending the meet: Indiana Swimming is
hosting a swimming in college seminar at Pike High School during
prelims on Saturday and Sunday. Information flyer is attached.
The last scheduled practice for Riley Group 1 and Group 2 will be Thursday March 21st.
Riley Group 3 will offer practices the week of the 24th specifically
for those athletes attending Speedo Sectionals, but they will also be
open to all Group 3 and Group 2 swimmers that would like to attend. March 19th
will be the last day of practice for our Groups at New Prairie. After
the 21st all swimmers will be moved to the long course season
(spring/summer) for billing purposes. If you are not planning on swimming the spring/summer season please let me know prior to March 15th.
Our first practice for the spring/summer season will be the week of April 7th-13th,
the week following South Bend Schools spring break. I have posted a
link to our on-line registration on the club's Facebook page. If you
could, please share to help promote the club for the upcoming season.
Advertising Credit
A
Group 2 or Group 3 annual membership plus all the other associated fees
with our membership -- spirit wear, meet surcharges, technology fees,
concession stand/hospitality fees, USA Swimming-- is approximately $550
for an entire year. (A Group 1 annual membership is about $100 less.)
If you were able to sell two of the Premiere+ adds it could easily pay for a whole year of swimming including meet entry fees!
Selling a one year ad to one company could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information.
Another
easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our
recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will
receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of
it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club.

Below
is our fall/winter meet schedule. Swimmers wanting to compete will
need to commit to those meets. The deadlines are based on deadlines
that were set last year. They may change once the meet hosts posts the
meet information. When committing to multiple day meets please leave a
message in the available notes section of what days you would like to
attend. Meets marked with an * are meets that require swimmers to meet
certain time standards. All pool locations can be found on our website
under the "Pools" tab
