CANCELED -- NASA Off The Blocks -- ADDING -- DUNE Rockin' Races Invite 5/14 I reached out to the NASA coaching staff looking for information for their Off the Blocks Invite and after a couple of emails I was informed the meet was not suppose to be on the Indiana Swimming Master Schedule. We will be adding a meet the following Saturday on May 14. The DUNE Rockin' Races Invite will be held at Chesterton High School. 10 and under swimmers will be in the morning. 11 and over swimmers will be in the afternoon. This will be our only meet (until Summer Divisionals) that will be in yards. The rest of our meets will be in long course meters. This will be an excellent opportunity for our new swimmers and a great opening meet for those who did not qualify for the Collegiate Showcase meet. We will need at least 4 swimmers per session to commit to the meet for SBSC to send an entry. The deadline to commit is this Thursday April 28. USA Swimming Guidelines-MAAPP/Safe Sport USA Swimming issued a directive with regards to electronic communication and social media contact between coaches and athletes. Most of what is being implemented is common sense and falls in line with our club's policies. One new requirement we will need to adhere to is how your minor child communicates with me. For several years I have asked swimmers in Group 2 and Group 3 to text/email me if they would be missing practice. Moving forward, swimmers will be instructed to include a parent on all communication with me.
 If you are the parent of a Group 2 or Group 3 swimmer, and have never sent me a text before, please text me so I have your contact info in my phone. This way if I need to contact your swimmer about missing practice I can be sure to include you. My cell phone number is 574-276-6057.

Midwest Collegiate Showcase -- May 7/8 -- Elkhart Aquatic Center This is a unique meet we have been invited to attend. This meet is for 14-17 year old swimmers with at least one of the posted cut times. The cut sheet can be found in the meet letter and is attached here. If a swimmer has achieved 1 cut they are allowed to swim a full line-up of events (8 total events). There will be 3 presentations by college coaches during the meet. Saturday after the first 3 events, Saturday after the final event, and Sunday after the first 3 events. Here is a link to the Swim Collegiate Series website. The deadline to commit to this meet is this Thursday April 21. NASA Off The Blocks -- May 7-- Northridge High School This meet is for all of our swimmers who do not qualify for Midwest Collegiate Showcase Invite and is a great meet for our younger/newer swimmers. The deadline to commit to this meet is one week from today, Sunday April 24. If you do not want to attend this meet please log-in and decline attendance. USA Swimming Safe Sport staff is hosting Zoom trainings for parents, minor athletes and coaches to assist clubs in completing the Training and Education requirement of the Safe Sport Club Recognition program. Practice Schedule Riley HS Group 1 Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:30 G1 Elite Wednesday 5:30-7:00 Group 2 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:30-7:00 Group 3 Monday Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 3:45-5:15 New Prairie HS Group 1 Monday and Tuesday 5:00-6:30 PM CST Group 2 No practice until spring/summer season due to Middle School swim season Group 3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:00-6:30 PM CST Practice Notes: No Group 2 practice Friday due to AGS. Riley families please use door #22. This is the door on the north west corner of the building and faces Fellows Street. If you are planning on staying to watch practice there is a stairwell that is adjacent to this door and this will lead you to the seating area. Everyone choosing to stay to watch practice must be wearing a mask and social distance while in the seating gallery. New Prairie swimmers are welcome to attend their corresponding group's practice at Riley. Last Practice of the Winter Season Our last practice for NPHS Group 1, NPHa Group 3, Riley Group 1, Riley G1 Elite, and Riley Group 2 will be Tuesday March 22. The last practice for Riley Group 3 will be Wednesday March 30. Spring/Summer Season Our first practices for the spring and summer will be the week of April 10. All athletes are considered swimming. Accounts will be charged on April 1 unless notified of your intent to stop swimming by March 30. If you are currently registered with the club you will not need to re-register. If your swimmer did register for the fall/winter and you decided to take a break during the season and would like to start back up again, email me and I will reactivate your swimmer(s). If you did not participate in the fall/winter season you will need to register. The online registration for spring will be live no later than March 15, Divisionals A great first two days. Current count is 17 new state cuts and our swimmers have achieved new best times in 79% of their swims (82/103)! Here is a reminder of the times for today's sessions. All times CST and are local to St. John, IN/Lake Central High School. Sunday prelims (11 and over swimmers) Warm-ups 6:45-7:45 -- our athletes should be on deck by 6:45 Meet Starts 8:00 Sunday (10 and under swimmers) Warm-ups 11:15-11:50 -- our athlete should be on deck by 11:00 Meet Starts 12:00 Sunday finals (11 and over swimmers) Warm-ups 2:15-3:15 -- our athletes should be on deck by 2:30 (change from yesterday) Meet Starts 3:15 I will be the coach on deck today. Most of what is being implemented is common sense and falls in line with our club's policies. One new requirement we will need to adhere to is how your minor child communicates with me. For several years I have asked swimmers in Group 2 and Group 3 to text/email me if they would be missing practice. Moving forward, swimmers will be instructed to include a parent on all communication with me.
 If you are the parent of a Group 2 or Group 3 swimmer, and have never sent me a text before, please text me so I have your contact info in my phone. This way if I need to contact your swimmer about missing practice I can be sure to include you. My cell phone number is 574-276-6057.
