Practice Notes: Group 3 practices are done for the remainder of the high school season. NP Group 1 will practice on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Group 1 practices will now last until 7:30. Group 2 practices will begin at 5:15. Swimmers attending Group 2's Friday
practice should bring dryland clothes including running shoes. As
always NP swimmers are welcome to attend their corresponding groups
practice at Riley.
Upcoming Meets
Today Sunday, November 4th is the deadline for the IA Invite (being held 1/4-1/6). We are asking all of the Group 3 athletes commit to the IA Invite. This meet will require a waiver for all high school swimmers.
Next Sunday, November 11th, is the deadline to commit to the DUNE Rumble in the Region Invite. This meet is being held Saturday December 15th at Chesterton High School.
I
realize these meets are several weeks away and you might not know your
family's plans. Meet directors typically allow us to make modifications
a couple of weeks prior to the meet, including removing swimmers from
the entry. So, if there is a possibility for these meets please commit
your swimmer.
Team T-shirts
We
will be placing a second order of T-shirts. We haven't reached the
minimum (which is actually 24) but we have had several swimmers join
since the original T-shirt order was placed. We have only had three
families send me an email officially requesting to be included in the
upcoming order (Szakaly, Wruble, and Young). If you would like to be
part of the order please send me an email with "T-shirt" in the subject
line and in the message include the sizes and number of each you would
like. Please let me know by this evening. I will be placing the order
first thing Monday morning.
Munster Meets in January
I
was informed last week that Munster is no longer hosting their January
meets due to a scheduling conflict. We will now be attending the CON
IMXtreme Meet the weekend of January 18th-20th. The deadline to commit to this meet is Sunday December 23rd.
(Date may be earlier once the meet letter is published with the exact
entry deadlines). The meet is up on our website but the entry file is
not yet available so you are unable to select the days/sessions you are
able to attend. If you are unable to attend the entire meet please
indicate which days you can attend in the notes section.
Group 2 Night at RHS
Every year we ask our Group 2 swimmers to help time at a dual meet. This year the meet is on Thursday November 29th
and is against Clay High School. The club will provide pizza for all
the swimmers that attend. The start time is still up in the air and I
will communicate that to everyone as soon as it is confirmed.
Advertising Credit
A
Group 2 or Group 3 annual membership plus all the other associated fees
with our membership -- spirit wear, meet surcharges, technology fees,
concession stand/hospitality fees, USA Swimming-- is approximately $550
for an entire year. (A Group 1 annual membership is about $100 less.)
If you were able to sell two of the Premiere+ adds it could easily pay for a whole year of swimming including meet entry fees!
Selling a one year ad to one company could earn you anywhere from $50 to almost $500. Here is the link for more information.
Another
easy way to earn credit for your swim club account is to hang our
recruiting posters out in the public. For every poster you hang you will
receive a $5 credit up to $25. Once you hang the poster post a pic of
it on your Facebook page (or other social site) and tag the club.

Below
is our fall/winter meet schedule. Swimmers wanting to compete will
need to commit to those meets. The deadlines are based on deadlines
that were set last year. They may change once the meet hosts posts the
meet information. When committing to multiple day meets please leave a
message in the available notes section of what days you would like to
attend. Meets marked with an * are meets that require swimmers to meet
certain time standards. All pool locations can be found on our website
under the "Pools" tab
